Do you remember when you were in school and the end of the year came, and it was time to clean out your locker? For some, you may still be in school, get ready the end of the year is coming! I remember well what it was like. Nine months of papers and notebooks were accumulating in my locker. For others of you there were probably other things like perfumes, shoes, jackets, etc. Whatever it was, there you and I were left to sort through the pile. Sometimes, we could get by with throwing it all into a big bag and taking it home. But there were times when we had to act right then and throw somethings away because there was just too much stuff. Let me ask you a question, “How much stuff are you toting in your life? You know, disappointments, worries, mistakes, frustrations, unresolved arguments?” If you are like me, it would be nice to tuck those things away in a box or something and send them away to a far away land. But you know what? There comes a time when we have to deal with our stuff. I don’t know about you but there are a lot of things that I am ready to move on from that occurred in the past years of my life. SO THE BIG QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU DO THAT? The easy answer is to give it to God. But again, how do you give it to God? This may seem a bit anticlimactic, but the answer is to talk to him about it all. Just be honest with Him and say Heavenly Father, I have all this clutter, all of this junk in my life and it is causing me a hassle. Not only that it is squeezing you out of my life. Father, what do you want me to do about this? Once you have laid it out before the Father, take some time to listen. He will speak to your heart and He will speak to your mind. He will give you clear instructions. He will take action as well and begin moving on the situations in your life. Once He begins to speak to you and begins to move to action in your life, be quick to do what He says. It may seem far out but if you will obey God in every detail (big and small) He will make a way where there seems to be no way. It may feel yucky, and you may not really like the clutter, but understand that He has already seen all of it. When you told God about it was not when he found out about it! The Good News? He loves you deeply! He is moving on your heart to bring you peace and to bring you closer to Him. So, go ahead and clean out your locker and watch what God puts in place of the clutter!
